Welcome to the peardrop project site!

peardrop is a specific EU funded project aiming at helping Regions to take an active role in boosting local ICT Businesses Networking and Digital Business Ecosystems (DBE) deployment.
Its principal focus is to make more accessible and more practicable the instruments for exploitation and deployment of research results in ICT for Enterprise Networking and DBE. This has been considered necessary for a number of reasons:

• To date, knowledge on ICT for Enterprise Networking the subject is rather fragmented and needs to be de-codified and disseminated in order to have maximum impact.
• Europe lags behind its international competitors - particularly the USA.
• ICT for networked businesses, particularly SMEs, will be of critical importance in the creation of additional high added-value employment opportunities in the knowledge-based economy of the near future.
